Equine Massage and Bodywork
Helping horses feel balanced and well,
in mind, body, and soul.
Helping horses feel balanced and well,
in mind, body, and soul.
The Sound Horse was established around the idea of creating a personal connection between horse and body-worker, and in doing so, the opportunity arises for uniquely tailored, high-quality care, through the holistic approach of massage and bodywork.
Using a hands-on approach, I connect with your horse through restorative and preventative techniques, and in turn, helping to structure a foundation for soundness.
Tapping into myofascial manipulation and muscle release, I aim to create an internal environment that promotes healing, balance, and overall wellbeing, while also reducing stress, tension, and soreness.
From competitors to pasture pets, your horse is my priority, and my goal is to provide your horse with massage and bodywork to feel it's best.
I am dedicated to providing exceptional service to my customers through individualized care.
By forming a bond with your horse, I aim to understand it's personality, behaviors, and ques, and therefore, being able to tailor each appointment to each horse.
From session to session, I work through different massage and bodywork methods, targeting the needs of your horse, and creating the best experience possible, for horse, and for owner.
Equine Massage
Horses benefit from massage much like we do, but to a higher degree, as they are more open and willing to release tension, stress, trauma, and pain that is stored within the body. In addition to the previously mentioned, please see the list below for a few more key benefits of equine massage and bodywork:
*Improves circulation throughout the body, which aids in quicker muscle recovery, recovery from injury, and an overall improvement of whole-body systems.
*Aids in digestion.
*Relaxes the horse, relieving emotional, physical, and mental stresses, as well as pain and discomfort.
*Helps in muscle balance, and therefore improves confirmation and posture.
*Helps with movement efficiency and lowers risk of injury.
*Helps in relieving problems with saddling and tacking.
*And Much More!
MagnaWave PEMF Therapy
If you are new to MagnaWave, you may be wondering what it does and how it can help you and your animals. PEMF emits pulses of magnetic energy, similar to the healthy energy already occurring in the body. The magnetic energy waves penetrate the body, oxygenating the blood, refueling the cells and relieving painful swelling, which improves the body’s ability to heal. Some of the top benefits of PEMF include:
*Reduction of Inflammation
*Improved Circulation
*Injury Recovery & Wound Healing
*Pain Reduction
*Improved Sleep & Relaxation
*Increased Energy
*And Much More!
Plus, PEMF is safe, non-invasive, and has no harmful side effects!
Since I was a young child, I have been in love with these beautiful creatures, and if you've come this far down my page, I'm sure I can say the same for you!
Super awesome!
From farm hand to owner, I have connected with horses of all ages and skill levels, and therefore, have experienced knowing horses on a very personal account, and commit to helping each horse to the best of my abilities.
By choosing The Sound Horse for your equine massage and bodywork routine, you are investing in your horse's whole-body wellness, and helping to provide the foundation toward, and maintaining, soundness.
As a horse lover, and animal care specialist, I vow my time and energy to your horse at each appointment, as well as before, during, and after.
I am an insured and certified Equine Massage and Bodywork Therapist. I received my certification through the IAAMB (International Association of Animal Massage and Bodywork) Preferred Educational Provider, Hands to Hide Equine Massage School. Along with this certification, I am also a Certified Magnawave PEMF Practitioner in Equine, Human, Small Animal, and Livestock care. In addition to the prior mentioned, I am a Registered Professional Member with IAAMB, and hold a certification in Equine Health and Emergency First Aid through Equi-First Aid USA.
I am always continuing to learn and grown in the field of Equine Massage and Bodywork through hands-on experience, as well as multifaceted, continued education through various institutions and personal research. I strive for deeper knowledge and mastery in my field, and am an advocate for listening to the horse, and observing its needs on an individual basis, which also incorporates kinesiology taping, Gua Sha scraping, and essential oils, when needed/requested.
I vow to keep learning and growing along this path, with you and your horse, today and into tomorrow.
The words are hard to find during such devastation as that from hurricane Helene. Through insurmountable loss and grief, there is still beauty, and there is still hope, for there are so many amazing people going out of their way to help, and I know we’re all doing our best to continue these efforts for our neighbors in the mountains, and beyond.
With that being said, I’d like to offer a special, now through the end of October.
With each equine massage purchase made, I will be donating 50% of proceeds to all those affected by hurricane Helene.
Please feel free to message me directly via Facebook, or text/call me at 908-812-9478.
Sending so much love and healing to all the people and animals affected by this storm.
Thank you all for your time, kindness, love, and support.

The “Between Massages: Equine Body Care + Maintenance” Group Class, is a 1-2 hour investment for you and your beautiful horse, side by side, working together to learn and grow.
(Length of class is estimated and depends on number of participants, the depth of the Q&As covered during the class, etc. There is a 3 person/horse minimum and 8 person/horse maximum.)
This class is done in a group setting, and include tips and tricks you can do to help your horse feel good, heal quickly, and maintain whole body wellness.
Some examples of what we’ll be working on are as follows:
•How to provide your horse with body care between massages and bodywork.
•More insight and connection with your own horse (owned or leased).
•Deepen your awareness of what to look for in terms of your horse’s health and well-being.
•Helpful body care tips for massaging before and after riding, and how to perform these massages.
•Stretches to release tension.
•Body care to build strength and stability.
I’ve created this class because I want to help as many horses, and owners/leasers, as I can. By sharing this experience with you, we’re creating more hands-on care, and therefore, building a great opportunity for whole horse wellness, and human-horse connection.
• $50 / person + horse duo {must provide your own horse}
This class will help you, help your horse(s), to build and maintain muscle, strength, and physical well-being. As well as aid in healthy movement, posture, and injury prevention.
As an equine massage therapist and bodyworker, my goal is to help as MANY horses (and their people) as I can, and by offering group lessons, I feel I can provide continued support and wellness. Helping horses feel their best, in mind, body, soul, and connection.
